Lucidity - Melee Combat Game
Lucidity’s five episodes have distinct locations set in iconic historical world environments based in the Middle Ages. They are Asian City, Carib Island, Nordic Cave, Desert Pyramids and Lost Temple.
The Institute of Anthropomorphic Incongruities (IAI) monitors and eliminates overthrows that are popping up back in history, during the Middle Ages. The overthrows, called incongruities, are being made by armies of anthropomorphic creatures. If the incongruities are not eliminated, world history will turn down a dark path.
When the game opens, Jake, the main character, will find out if he will become the IAI’s twenty-eighth Lucid Dreamer by conquering the Felicons in his dream. Lucid Dreamers have the power to eliminate incongruities by conquering the anthropomorphic armies in their dreams. They can also mind meld with the boss enemies and the IAI’s Artificial Simulator to gain tactical advantages.
Jake is mentored by Dr. Preston, the director of the IAI, Artie, the computer interface for the IAI’s Artificial Simulator, and the civil leaders of the dream worlds. Prior to engaging his first Lucid Dream, Jake has been threatened by a mind meld with Thorp, the boss leader for the Felicons, who have overthrown the Asian City. Will Jake become the twenty-eighth Lucid Dreamer for the Institute of Anthropomorphic Incongruities? To do so he must defeat Thorp and eliminate the incongruity.
